Introduction to the repair welding operation process of welded steel pipes

An introduction to the repair welding operation process of welded steel pipes. Welded steel pipes refer to steel pipes with seams on the surface, which are made by bending and deforming steel strips or steel plates into circular, square, and other shapes and then welding them. Repair welding operations for welded steel pipes:
1. When taking over a shift, you should check the shift handover record to understand the production situation of the previous shift and deal with the problems left by the previous shift immediately.
2. Check whether the grinding wheel and repair welding machine are running normally without load.
3. According to the type, location, and size of defects marked on the steel pipe, determine whether to grind or repair and the welding method used for repair.
4. Strictly enforce process disciplines and must not violate process systems. If it is found that process documents do not meet production needs, the supervisor should be reported on time. Process parameters can only be changed after receiving notice of process changes, but the changed process parameters must comply with the changes. subsequent documentation requirements.
5. Defect repair procedures
1) For surface defects, the welding slag should be cleaned before welding.
2) For internal defects, the carbon arc gouging method should be used to clean the defects first. The gouging should be stable and accurate, and the groove after gouging should be even and smooth.
3) When the nominal diameter D≥426 mm, the internal defects of the steel pipe should be removed and repaired by welding inside; when D≤426 mm, the internal defects are allowed to be removed from the outside and repaired by welding from the outside.
4) The weld after repair welding must be ground, and the remaining wall thickness after grinding should be within the specified wall thickness tolerance range.
5) Before entering the next process of repairing the welded steel pipe, carefully check whether there are any missed repairs or defects on the steel pipe. Only after confirming that there are no errors, can it be transferred to the next process.
6) If any abnormal situation occurs during production, it should be handled in time. Problems that cannot be handled on duty should be reported to the supervisor immediately and kept in good records. For the operating status of the former, first, check whether the process data of the former are correct. If there are any changes, they should be adjusted in time. If any debris is found attached to the roller surface (such as welding burrs, iron cuttings, etc.), it should be removed or ground in time and checked at the same time. The stress and wear of all small rollers should be adjusted or replaced in time if any abnormalities are
